“You may kiss the bride”
These words, and the kiss that follow, have a special meaning when you know that you are in fact witnessing the very first time this man and woman have ever kissed one another.
My father had the honor of baptizing Sarah many years ago and it was my great honor to photograph her wedding and her first kiss. Sarah is an amazing, godly young woman and Steve is the kind of godly young man that every father prays for. I am so happy for both of them. They are both blessed beyond measure to have one another for a partner.
Sarah and Steve first met, last year, at a Memorial Day picnic, hosted by this wonderful couple (The Fishers):
Their three talented daughters played beautiful music before and during the ceremony:
One of the most special items at this wedding was this bible which originally belonged to Sarah’s great-grandfather, and was given to her by her grandfather when she was 12 years old:
Just before they left, I had the chance to take them aside for a few moments, to capture a couple more images of the couple.
Sarah is wearing:
– Her mother’s “Trust Your Husband” necklace
– The shoes her oldest sister, Anna, wore in her wedding
– The veil worn by her older sister, Rebecca, in her wedding.
Since I have your attention… won’t you please take a brief moment and say a quick prayer for God’s blessing on these newlyweds?
You can see more of their wedding photos in this slideshow:
I was very greateful for my second shooter, Eli, who was a big help. A third of the images in this slideshow were his shots. 🙂
By His grace,
